Q4 2020 Performance of Top Theme Parks Apps in Latin America

In the fourth quarter of 2020, Latin America's theme park enthusiasts showed diverse engagement levels with the top theme park applications, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here, we explore the performance trends of these apps in terms of downloads and weekly active users.

My Disney Experience saw a significant spike in downloads, jumping from approximately 4K to 19K in mid-November, before stabilizing at around 3K towards the end of December. Weekly active users mirrored this trend with a peak of 18K also in mid-November and then a slight decline to 5K by the year's end.

The Six Flags app experienced a more stable pattern, with downloads fluctuating around the 2K to 3K range, except for a noticeable dip to under 1K in late December. The weekly active users remained relatively high, starting at 16K and reaching up to 19K, despite a decrease to approximately 12K by the close of Q4.

Universal Orlando Resort downloads showed a gradual incline from 701 to over 2K in the last week of December. The app's weekly active users started at around 5K and saw an increase, finishing the quarter with over 6K active users.

Disneyland® app downloads remained under 1K for most of the quarter but peaked at around 1.6K in mid-November. Weekly active users started strong at 9K but experienced a slight decline over the quarter, ending at approximately 8K.

Lastly, Play Disney Parks app downloads saw a noteworthy rise from 198 to over 1.3K in the third week of November, followed by a decline and then another increase to 568 by the end of December. The app's weekly active users showed a peak of 1.1K also in November and ended the year with nearly 500 active users.

The fourth quarter of 2020 displayed varying degrees of user interaction with the top theme parks applications in Latin America.
